Solar Control Glasses
Advantages
With its different colour choices and performances, they can be applied succesfully at all kinds of building facades primarily commercial buildings used usually in the day time, in front of vision parts and parapets, at the skylights, traditional and structural glazing systems and by hiding the structural elements such as column, beam, parapet wall, suspended ceiling and installation gaps with its reflective specification, gives a building a wholesome appearance. It provides a good protection against the transmission of solar energy and reduces the cooling expences. It is effected in reducing the excessive brightness of the sun infront of the interior windows. Reflectivity is the primary issue if the coated side is the first outside, the colour is the second and with the coated side placed the second surface looks inside, colour is the primary issue.

The upper values are given for a combination of a double glazing unit with a 6mm Tentesol / Tentesol T, external pane of glass + 12/16 mm space + 6mm interval pane of glass.
LT (Light Transmission) Percentage of the light flux transmitted through the glass
LR (Light Reflection External) Percentage of the light flux reflected by the glass
SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) Radiation Transmitted through the glass that is the sum of the direct energy transmission and the part of the energy absorption reradiated to the inside of the building
SC (Shading Coefficient) The comparision of the solar heat gain coefficient with 3 mm clear glass. The low shading coefficient value means better soalr control
U Value (Thermal Conductivity) The criterion of the heat insulation. The low u value means better heat insulation thus more winter comfort with low heating expences
