Tempering that is performed precisely and with great success at Ardıç Glass, is a process, caused to gain a resistant to surface of a glass, by heating up almost to its melting point and then quick cooling.
Thermally toughened glass (fully tempered glass) that is five times more resistant than annealed glass is suitable for use as security glass because when it is broken, it fall into small pieces at size of a dice, therefore reduces the risk of injury from sharp edges of it. Tempering process increases the strength of an annealed
glass and also its resistant against thermal stresses. Thermally toughened glass can not be cut, drilled or made any edge and surface process.
